As per reports, the Assam police has registered FIR against Assam based singer and musician Angarag Mahanta, who is popularly known as Papon, after a video showing him kissing a minor participant of a musical event went viral on internet.
The Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR) filed a complaint against Papon with the Guwahati police commissioner. Charges have been framed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The ASCPCR also sought action against other crew members like camera persons, who were present during shooting of the show.
