The Supreme Court while criticizing the division bench order of the Madras High Court in doing a piece meal analysis of the film ‘New’ post the CBFC certification held that it is not for the judges to make “piecemeal analysis” of a movie and apply their subjective views of life to revoke the censor certification issued to a film.
